Villa Mimosa at San Regolo in Brolio

You enter Villa Mimosa directly into a bright sunny lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is located on the left to the rear of the room. It has fitted units arranged in an ‘L’ shape and has a dishwasher, oven, gas hobs and a free standing fridge/freezer and doors out to the garden.
To one side there is a traditional wooden dining table and four chairs; a comfortable sofa and flat screen TV with satellite and DVD player. The villa has the traditional Tuscan tiled floors and tiled and beamed ceilings throughout.
To the right of the living area is a small corridor leading to the bedroom with double bed, painted wardrobe and matching dressing table. There are doors opening out onto the garden. It is possible to change the bed to a twin if required, please advise us of the configuration you require at the time of booking. The bathroom is at the end of the corridor next to the bedroom and has a large corner shower, basin, WC and bidet.
Outside the garden has both paved and grassed areas. There is a dining table, chairs and an umbrella. From both the covered and uncovered terraces you have wonderful views over the surrounding vineyards.
A lovely bright sunny villa; perfect for two people with its own garden from which there are wonderful views over the surrounding vineyards.

Villa Mimosa at San Regolo in Brolio

San Regolo in Brolio is a lovely brand new hamlet with a small collection of villas located on the edge of the village of San Regolo, and is within easy walking distance of the centre of the village.
The hamlet consists of 5 buildings housing a total of 8 apartments, each of the villas have been thoughtfully and tastefully put together, with each accommodation having their own private garden and terrace. In addition, each villa also has its own private garage for guests use.
Located on a lower terrace to the rear of the hamlet is the shared salt water swimming pool. This is a fantastic location boasting wonderful views across the vineyards and countryside to Siena and Monte Amiata in the distance behind the medieval city.
From the hamlet it’s a short walk up hill to the famous Brolio castle, which is surrounded by its own vineyards. You can visit the castle where the 32nd Baron Ricasolli and his family live. There is a restaurant serving traditional Tuscan food and you can have a wine tasting in the tasting rooms.

Pool Info
The large infinity salt water pool is located on a lower lever than the houses. It is surrounded by a pretty lawn and paved area, with a shower to one side. The entire pool area is fenced, making this an ideal property for young families. There are sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool.
The wide open views over the countryside, onto Siena and beyond can be admired from this area while you enjoy a cooling dip after a warm Tuscan day. The pool can be seen from the houses.
There is a very shallow baby pool, divided from the main pool by a metal railing, it's a good size for children to play in.
It is 15x6 meters and 1.2-2.2 meters deep. Open from May to October.

Nearest town
The nearest village is San Regolo, which is a tiny village about 100 meters away. Within 1km you get to Brolio Castle which is a lovely wine estate with a wine tasting room, and a castle to visit. Here there is a second good restaurant. Gaiole in Chianti is a town about 11km away, it has a grocery shop, baker, post office, bank and several other facilities.

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Ein unvergesslicher Tag in Florenz und abends haben wir mit hunderten anderer Touristen den Ausblick auf die Stadt bei Sonnenuntergang auf dem Piazzale MIchelangelo beobachtet, wo man übrigens kostenlos parken kann. Kaum zu glauben, aber wahr!!!! Ein weiteres Highlight war ein Abend in Siena auf dem Campo mit dem besten Eis auf der Hand, das ich je gegessen habe.
Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Wir waren schon von den Bildern im Internet beeindruckt, aber vor Ort waren wir erst recht begeistert. Die Anlage war wunderschön angelegt und sehr sauber und gepflegt. Toller Pool, den wir fast immer für uns allein hatten. Aufgrund der Größe der Anlage (insgesamt nur 7 Einheiten) war es dort sehr ruhig und angenehm.
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Ja, bei unserer Ankunft hat es in Strömen geregnet, was absolut untypisch für die Gegend und Jahreszeit ist.
Haben Sie andere Anmerkungen? Werde Ihre Internetseite sowie das Anwesen selbst auf jeden Fall unter Freunden und in der Familie weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank!!!!

wir sind nun schon seit einigen Tagen wieder aus dem Urlaub zurück und ich finde nun endlich die Zeit, mich noch einmal bei Ihnen zu melden. Ich möchte mich nochmals herzlich für die großartige Betreuung bei der Auswahl des Feriendomizils bedanken. Wir haben es dort sehr gut angetroffen und die Villa Mimosa war traumhaft schön. Auch die Verwalterin vor Ort war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Rundum eine ganz tolle Woche mit Besuchen in Siena, Florenz, Marina die Grosseto, Castello die Brolio und natürlich Weinproben an der Chiantigiana in Castellina, Radda und Greve sowie Gaiole.

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
